Nio Netherlands, only 2 years active in the Netherlands but a super unique concept with a lot of fun elements in and around the brand that stands at the forefront of Europe.

We have been tasked with capturing the Nio ET5 visually together with a matching model.

During the shoot, it was not about the car itself, the technology, or the usual specifications that normally sell the car.

In this production, it was all about the outcome for us: the smile on a face, comfort, and peace. Where a video takes you through various emotions and literally pulls you into a story with music, different scenes, and everything that comes with it, we had to tell the same story with the photos — but without all those visual tricks. That’s why we chose to fully focus on the essence of the brand and what it brings about.

Dutch content in a Dutch environment why is that so important?

A common problem for larger brands is that they rely on productions made by a global team. As a result, they are often not recognizable or relevant to the Dutch or European audience.

NIO gave us the opportunity to break through that. People seek recognition and trust — especially when considering connecting with a relatively unknown, new brand that originates from China. Our production ensures that people recognize the location, the license plate, and the faces. This way, we create a familiar, warm feeling and lower the threshold to show interest in what NIO really has to offer.
